Sheet Comforters
- With a duvet cover you won't need a top sheet, blanket, or bedspread.
- Luxurious sheets and down comforters have become a must have for hotels catering to upscale and luxury markets.
- If your wool mattress cover is protected by your sheets, it will require little cleaning.
- Feather and fiber comforters can not be washed at home and if properly protected using a protector and sheet should not require cleaning.
- Comforter drying tip: Do not use dryer sheets or fabric softener when washing a goose down comforter because they can leave a sticky residue on the down and might cause it to become clumpy.
- A duvet needs to have the sheet cover put on while a comforter is ready to use as is, often with prints and patterns on it to give it a fashionable look.
- When you change your sheets, just remove the duvet cover (which fits on your comforter like a giant pillowcase) and toss it in the wash.
- Using a duvet cover and top sheet will minimize the need to clean your comforter.
- If your down comforter is used with a duvet cover, you likely will not need top sheets, blankets, or bedspreads.
